About Scribbyworld

Scribbyworld is a journal for thought and ideas, for commentary and images, for fiction observed and imagined. It is a home for work - and links to the work of fellow travelers - refusing to accept subjugation of mind and imagination, or debasement of human existence and the human spirit by the imagery and slogans calculated to induce enslavement that have become the common currency of our corporatized culture.

Scribbyworld is an alternative reality proposed by David Scribner, renegade journalist and rodeo rider. He is also a writer of fiction, an award-winning editorial writer, photographer and performer. He has presented numerous readings of his work in bookstores and various venues in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. His writing has appeared in Yankee, Rosebud, and Vermont magazines; the Pacific Sun; Time magazine; the Daily Hampshire Gazette, and The Berkshire Eagle. A winner of a National Endowment for the Arts Grant, his photographs have been exhibited at the International Center of Photography in New York City. He is also a team roper and tips his hat to his trusty Quarter Horse Ocho. He lives in the Berkshires with his wife Juliane, a k a Jacuzzi the creator of www.bimbopolitics.com and at last count, children Harper, Jack and Isaac.
